Mudra (Ujjain)
Mudra (Ujjain)
Inspired by the ancient Kārṣāpaṇas (which were silver pieces stamped with symbols and usually issued by the Janapadas and Mahajanapadas, generally carrying minute mark or marks to testify their legitimacy) these cuff links offer an insight into the economic history of India. These cufflinks derive inspiration from the historic coinage of Ujjain and feature the 'Bull' which is important symbolism since the bull's domestication was an important step in the agricultural development of most ancient societies.
